Robyn Kennedy DeSocio
Director of Marketing
A startup enthusiast, Robyn has over 15 years of marketing leadership experience in building and growing brands. With a focus in the B2B space in high tech materials and on-demand energy appliances, like EV batteries and backup power generation to B2C lifestyle brands and startup services, Robyn’s marketing expertise is unique and well versed.
Robyn joins Book+Street as Director of Marketing to develop and oversee the marketing strategy as the company expands its service offering and awareness in the provider space. Collaborating with the small but mighty marketing team, the Book+Street brand will see growth for our clients and establish itself as ‘the go to’ service provider in the Ohio startup landscape.
Prior to joining Book+Street, Robyn led privately held, early and mid-stage, venture backed tech startups to scalable growth and acquisition. As VP of Marketing for NanoSteel (acquired by US Steel), Robyn developed a cohesive marketing strategy that drove awareness while delivering value for key stakeholders. With an attention to brand development, product marketing and planning, insight and social engagement, Robyn’s out of the box approach to storytelling is key as brands vie for market share and attention.
At Formetrix (acquired by McLean Fogg) Robyn developed the branding and strategic marketing plan for a new 3D printing entity, as VP of Marketing. Building the brand from the ground up, Robyn worked with the leadership team to develop the value proposition and messaging to support the goals of the expansion and strategic partnerships as a new AM materials provider in the space. Formetrix’s creative messaging and brand strategy delivered an industry differentiation that supported the acquisition of the business to industry power player, McLean Fogg.
Robyn earned her BA from St. Lawrence University with a concentration in Economics and Global Studies with a minor in English.
